Literature: Note: This work was sold as part of two lead pencil studies 'Études de mondains au bal' (Study of socialites at the ball) at auction 'Binoche et Giquello, Paris, France, December 16th 2015, Lot 42'. The two works are listed under numbers 85-86-24-D and 85-88-25-D in the archives of Louis Hayet, but we are currently unaware as to which catalogue number accompanies each work.
