Note: This work was sold as part of five lead pencil drawings on paper 'Cinq études anatomiques' (Five anatomical studies) at auction 'Binoche et Giquello, Paris, France, December 16th 2015, Lot 48'. Three of these works are listed under numbers 70-80-3-D; 70-80-5-D; 77-80-7-D; 77-80-4-D and 77-80-5-D in the archives of Louis Hayet, but we are currently unaware as to which catalogue number accompanies each work. It is documented that all the studies display the cachet of the signature ‘L Hayet’ (lower right).
