Note: We only have a visual record of this lot from the Mercier & Cie sale [12th February 2012]. The lot description mentions a signature to the back of the work but not the collectors stamp for Dr. Sutter. The work is also provenanced to the 'Dr. Sutter collection' [2001] sale. The Pescheteau-Badin sale [16th March 2012] mentions the red collectors stamp but not the signature. The lot is also provenced to the Binoche et Giquello [October 11th 2002] sale. The size of the work matches exactly and the fact that an inscription verso is mentioned in both sales suggests the work is one and the same.
